iv: i am so behind with my wedding guest outfit posts. so much so, that i decided to jam them all into this one post. so, i’ll start with the most recent wedding. it took place in madison, wisconsin. the bride requested that all the womenfolk either wear full on red or a throw in a pop of red. i decided to wear the dress i wore for my bachelorette party. the boning works wonders and i danced with ease without having to worry about it. erm, notice how clean the sidwalks are in madison. at the end of the night we all walked to the glass nickel for pizza and drinks i went barefoot as these slinky heels kicked my butt.
outfit details: dress vintage albert nipon, sandals nine west, bag h&m, necklace gift from josh, earrings anthro, flower acessory h&m
p.s. the profile shots gives me a bump, it’s just crinoline
iii: the second wedding we attended was in rehobeth beach, delaware. i took my blog friend emily’s advice, and wore the same dress that i wore to the nigerian wedding. i figured it had a beachy vibe to it. and below a photo of josh with some decent shoes on, unlike in california. this is the suit he wore for our wedding. he’s been getting great use out of it.
ii: below is day two of the california wedding we attended. the first day was a traditional nigerian ceremony and the second was a jewish ceremony. i wore a raw silk vintage dress, which i wore for my friend molly’s wedding. i was unsure about wearing a cream top but megan, pictured below, said it wasn’t super white and was fine. i noticed numberous women in black and white. some wore colorblock dress with white so i was in the clear. josh was in the wedding so he was busy with is groomsmen duties. this was the only photo that captured the getup.

I like your wedding guest series… I have to go to another one this fall, and am not sure what to wear. Probably that yellow dress yet again, but I’m concerned that it won’t be warm enough. Hrmmm. Anyway, I absolutely love the black and red look, it’s so you and yet not your usual silhouette…
All the outfits are cute. But I think my favorite one is the last. I really think that blue skirt is to die for and the top is really fun to me
i love your black bachlorette dress, is pretty much perfect! the top is awesome and i of course LOVE the dress you wore to the beach wedding, it is perfect. glad you got to wear that one twice. any more weddings? or is that it? cause that is a lot!

CB, I have two more weddings this fall! I know it is a lot. This is our of attending weddings I suppose.
Love all the looks, but that first one is so chic. I see how each destination fit the style.

I love the colorful one-shouldered maxi dress! It’s so much fun, but still elegant enough for a wedding at the same time. Nice!

Cute! I love the first and last one the most. The cream & blue combo is just sweet!
I love the black strapless dress. Boning is good. I have a dress that has boning in it but it’s starting to poke me in the side. I don’t know what to do.
Loved all the dresses but the last skirt and top is gorgeous! The colour of the skirt is to die for!
aah i dont know how i forgot to comment to those fabulous outfits!especially the first one blew my mind!honestly!
are you not supposed to wear white to weddings? I always heard not black but maybe it depends on the wedding. Love the cutout of your black dress & wow am I impressed that you even walked in those heels! A wedding on the beach sounds so dreamy & I loved seeing shots of the Nigerian wedding, sounds like you’ve been having a great summer!
