after the wedding in madison, we bussed it to chicago. i’m so thankful to have such generous friends. they were such great hosts and showed us around this lovely city. our friend’s boyfriend stayed at her place and we stayed in his cozy bachelor pad for a couple of nights. we tried to pack in as much as we could, so we hit up the farmer’s market for crepes, did some thrifting and went on an architectural boat tour. we had some very hot and hazy days, so i threw on the top from my new play suit handmade by quincy. i plan to wear the entire suit before the summer ends, so really soon. i’m so glad we stopped in chicago before heading back to new york. it was so great to catch up with our friends and check out a new city.

we stayed in lincoln square but ventured to roscoe village and andersonville to get a feel for some of the neighborhoods. i scored a sweet dress in roscoe at shangri la vintage and i can’t wait to wear it this fall.
i got really excited, when i saw those bangles. they brought me back to the 80′s my mom use to rock those. that groovy skirt was so fun but didn’t fit.
the friendly folks of shangri la vintage
gotta kick this habit, i wanted to take a quick nap but was busy texting, googling, browsing, pinning, definitely going to kick this
our friend glenn had a record player, which made us feel like we were home. as we mostly listen to vinyl.

I totally adore you and your style. Such a lovely blog. You do a wonderful job and your gorgeous love!
It would mean so much if you could check out my latest post!
XOXO

I def gotta kick the habit of doing just what you said on the computer too much… like right now when i’m supposed to be decorating our house… oops.
The top 2 photos are divine! I love everything about your look and the way the sun hits you. The architecture of the buildings are just simply amazing !
