on our way up from venice to big sur we stopped in santa barbara for some blueberry wheat germ pancakes and coffee with our friend kelli. our drive was six hours in total, two hours to santa barabara and i wanted to be really comfortable so right before we left for our drive up, i bought this trendy little dress from h&m. it’s a bit tighter than dresses i’d normally wear, but hey its vacation time. it was less than fifteen bucks. i’ve been wearing these handmade sandals all summer. i bought them while traveling in brazil. i’ve gotten them repaired recently and really hope they last me forever they work well with pretty much everything. 
below are a few photos of our days and nights in venice. we brunched at three square twice, i love the huevos rancheros and their signature avocado fries. the nine grain pancakes at areal in santa monica was also super delicious. our friend steve is the best host. we stayed with him for six out of the nine nights of our trip and he would have loved for us to stay longer. we love his dog kodak and he had such a great place. it was so spacious and close to the beach. we really enjoyed cooking meals with him, making mojitos and relaxing on his deck with friends.
p.s. not wearing any makeup in this post so if i look strange that’s why. won’t be a regular occurrence just felt like giving my skin a break.

what a great dress. it is always important to dress comfortable while traveling especially when driving. i love the handmade sandals! i have a pair i wore at my wedding. they are white so i have a hard time wearing them but they are so wonderful and comfy and they used the softest leather ever! i love the top or dress with the boats on them! so so so cute! hope your enjoying your trip! i really need to make it down to big sur!
