It’s been raining quite a bit in NYC and all the more reason for me to wear my “Carmen Sandiego” coat. I’ve been dying to wear this dress. I got it months ago but it was too cold. On unusually warm days, I didn’t have a hot pink slip handy. I found one at Dolly G while searching for a bridesmaid dress with my friend Gabby. Last weekend was a nice balance of work and play. I worked a bit on Saturday and wondered around Nolita returning a bunch of pairs of shoes. I was so indecisive about shoes for my wedding. In the end I chose the least expensive pair as I don’t think I’ll ever wear them again and I suspect they’ll get quite damaged since part of our wedding is outdoors. I also went for my second fitting, which went really well. I have my final fitting this weekend! On Sunday, Josh and I brunched at our usual spot, Rosewater. We then headed over to the Botanical Gardens. We missed the cherry blossoms which is a shame since we live so close but we just didn’t want to be there with the mobs of people. A rainy Sunday was the perfect kind of day to spend at the gardens. It wasn’t crowded at all and these lovely Bluebell Wood flowers were at their peak. Looks like it will be raining all week. You do so good with vintage. The dress is so cute. If I would have seen it on the hanger, I wouldn’t have liked it. But I’m the type of shopper that has to see stuff on a body. You look great!

when I got married I was totally indecisive about my shoes too. i laughed when I read your post ’cause I ended up doing the same thing– bought like four pairs and ended up returning three! I finally “settled” on a pair of Louboutins which I have to say do live up to the hype. they’re a camel pair of sling back pumps closed toe. they go with everything are super comfy and I’ve definitely already got my cost per wear down to like $10.00 evry time I wear them.
not bad. they were my wedding “splurge” as they say. anyway, looking forward to hearing about more of your wedding plans, it’s so exciting!
